Cookie & Tracking Notice
Effective date: July 10, 2026 · Last updated: July 10, 2026
This Notice explains how Datum Marketing and Consultation LLC (“Datum”) uses cookies and similar technologies on datum.marketing, and how you can manage them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies (pixels, tags, local storage, and SDKs). They help the Site work, measure performance, and support advertising.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function (security, load balancing, your cookie choices). Always on.
- Performance / analytics — help us understand how the Site is used (e.g., Google Analytics 4). Used only as permitted by your choices.
- Advertising / targeting — measure and optimize our marketing and may enable cross-context behavioral advertising (e.g., Meta Pixel, and Google Ads tags if enabled).
3. Cookies & similar technologies we use
| Cookie / technology | Provider | Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
datum_consent (local storage) | Datum | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie consent / opt-out choice so we can honor it on later visits | Persistent until you clear it |
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors to measure how the Site is used | up to 2 years |
_ga_H8Y1WVQYKJ | Google Analytics 4 | Analytics | Persists session and visitor state for our GA4 property | up to 2 years |
_fbp | Meta (Facebook) | Advertising | Identifies the browser for ad measurement and targeting | ~3 months |
_fbc | Meta (Facebook) | Advertising | Stores a Meta ad-click identifier — set only if you reach the Site from a Meta ad | ~3 months |
Related technologies that do not set a cookie: our server also sends key conversion events (such as a submitted contact form) to Meta via the Conversions API, matched to the Meta Pixel through a shared event ID and your hashed email address, and governed by the same consent choice and GPC signal. The Site’s typeface is delivered through Adobe Fonts (Typekit), which is a font-delivery request and does not set advertising or analytics cookies.
4. Your choices
- Notice banner: when you first visit, our banner lets you accept or opt out of analytics/advertising cookies. Strictly-necessary cookies cannot be switched off.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): we honor a valid GPC browser signal as an opt-out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising.
- “Your Privacy Choices”: use the footer link any time to change your choice.
- Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some Site features may not work as a result.
- Platform opt-outs: Google Analytics opt-out add-on; Meta ad preferences; the DAA / NAI industry opt-out tools.
5. “Sale” / “Sharing” disclosure
Some advertising technologies may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under California (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws. See the Privacy Policy §6 and use the opt-out options above.
6. Changes
We may update this Notice; the “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
